About Dan Tague:


Dan Tague, born in 1974 in New Orleans, United States, is an American multimedia artist, curator and activist whose work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally.  Dan Tague is well known for his series of dollar bills which are a hybrid of photography sculptures and especially political statements. Dan Tague often addresses the issues of our time by rendering visual equivalents in the most powerful means necessary. Installations, photography and artistic activism are his means of confronting and responding to the concerns of today's world. His work appears in numerous public and private art collections including the Whitney Museum of Art and the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation. He is the recipient of several awards, including the Joan Mitchell Foundation and the Pollock Krasner Foundation.
