About Cali:

Curious, stunned by the strong influence of the powerful of this world and the violence that surrounds it, Cali can not resist the desire to draw the history of Men:

From the Italian Quattrocento, to Woodstock, through the Factory and the barricades of the cultural revolutions, the Artist is thirsty to share this heritage with us. With her language, her play and her ordinary techniques like the use of the newspaper and the BIC, she denounces the setbacks of a manipulative and narcissistic society, lullaby of illusions. By appropriating these freeze-frames, these faces taken one day on the spot, these characters, these stagings, she questions, titillates our opinions and shakes our consciences. The toys, lead soldiers and other symbols, gleaned here and there in the souks and flea markets come to denounce the absurdities of this world in malaise. Thus immortalized on the canvas, they re-inhabit our childhood souls, a time when our thoughts were pure and unpolluted. The Butterfly, naturally imposed itself as a symbol of metamorphosis for the Artist, and accompanies him, flying from one work to another, sending us back to our visceral need of Freedom, and to change.

Dreaming of a world where the future generations would not be trapped in this gigantic dupe market, she points out the ravages of social networks and leaves us facing the web:

And if it was high time to take back the control of its destiny and its freedom? To find our being, wise... sovereign?
